Less is more – Staging your House on a budget, by Claudia S. Nelson with Keller Williams Realty in Woodbridge VA
When getting ready to sell your home less is more. Be sure to empty the kitchen counter tops and anything you might have on top of the refrigerator or on top of the cabinets. Trust me it looks much much nicer without anything.
Chances are you probably don’t live like in a model home, however when getting ready to selling your home less is more. Re-arrange some of your furniture and depersonalize your home as much as possible. If you have lots of family pictures on one wall make sure you remove them. Electric cable salad try to remove as much as possible at least when taking pictures. Less is more.
Remove any clutter on shelves or dressers. Again LESS is more. Your home looks bigger if there is less clutter. Move any of the bulky furniture into storage. Less is more.
I realize that this is probably not how you live normally, but while your home is on the market and when getting ready to sell make sure any clutter is removed. If your dog has a dog bed next to your bed or if you have lots of stuff on your night stand be sure to removing it. Again LESS IS MORE.
Of course you can always hire a professional to stage your home but chances are that you can do a great job by following the advise of your Real Estate Agent. Less is more.
